There are several ways to measure blue-green algae levels in water, here are two common ones: Fluorescence measurement: This method uses chlorophyll a and fluorescein contained in blue-green algae to measure its content. First, the blue-green algae in the water sample are separated by filtration or centrifugation, and then put into a fluorometer for measurement. The fluorometer will measure the fluorescence intensity by exciting the chlorophyll a and fluorescein in the sample, so as to calculate the content of blue-green algae; Microscopic counting method: This method requires the blue-green algae in the water sample to be separated by filtration or centrifugation, and then observed under a microscope. The number and shape of blue-green algae can be seen through a microscope, and then its content can be calculated. This method requires professionals to operate, and the time and labor costs are high. The BGA351 blue green algae sensor adopts the optical fluorescence principle.
Daruifuno's Blue Green Algae Sensor uses a 590nm light source to excite the phycocyanin in the water to produce fluorescence, and measures the fluorescence intensity at 650nm to calculate the number of blue-green algae in the water. The sensor adopts the principle of optics, is small in size, easy to operate, and has a fast detection speed. It is suitable for rapid, frequent and continuous measurements in the field. You can also use the blue green algae controller to realize more functions.
● It has excellent repeatability and stability and is not easily affected by ambient light.
● With self-cleaning brushes to eliminate contamination coating and air bubble accumulation, reduce the impact of measurement and make maintenance intervals longer.
● The Blue Green Algae Analyzer requires no reagent consumption, good stability and low maintenance workload.
● Internal storage of calibration data, support for offline calibration, on-site plug and play.
● Standard Modbus communication protocol, support access to standard industrial control system.
